Unfoiled 3D
For Marc & Francien
2024, Rotterdam, private client
One-off work developed from the Unfoiled collection and adapted for a private interior. Scale, depth and orientation are adjusted in response to the space.

The work was commissioned for the home of Francien and Marc in Rotterdam. Based on an existing design, the object was further developed to suit its specific placement and spatial context, allowing the folded surface to interact with light throughout the day.
Unfoiled 3D is characterised by its layered construction and precise folding. The surface responds subtly to changing light conditions, creating shifts in reflection and shadow as the viewer moves through the space.
Rather than functioning as a stand-alone object, the work was conceived in relation to its surroundings. It forms part of the interior as a spatial element, entering into dialogue with the architecture and the rhythm of the space.
