When experiments become products: from a fresh take on painting procedures to colourful table series.
By researching a colour paint technology employed by design label PODE, we stretched the boundaries of familiar and time-tested production methods – and explored opportunities for this collection of side tables.
We conducted experiments to explore variations in nozzle openings, the distance between paint dispenser and object, and different paint viscosities. Prior research and experiments led to the creation of side tables crafted from a selection of materials — metal, glass, wood.

Design that makes you smile: PODE presents a comprehensive lifestyle collection of furniture and accessories from top international designers. At their request, RENS delved into the colour and paint technology used by this cutting-edge design label.
In close collaboration, RENS pushed the limits of familiar and time-honored production methods – and explored opportunities for new applications. A series of experiments, known as Finissage, culminated in side tables made of selected materials (metal, glass, timber). Future possibility to physical reality: a novel collection that embodies a powerful team-up with the design label.
