A bed is never just a bed. It is the largest surface in the bedroom.
For CANVAS, that surface becomes a field for colour.
Developed by Studio RENS for Auping, CANVAS is a bedding collection based on hand-screenprinted colour studies. Layer by layer, colour was built by hand through movement, pressure and repetition. Small shifts, overlaps and imperfections remain visible, carrying the trace of a physical process.
Translated into soft bed textiles, these works move from the studio into everyday life. What starts as a colour study becomes something close to the body, used every day.
CANVAS brings colour into the bedroom as atmosphere. Not as decoration, but as part of the experience of rest. Soft in use, rich in detail and present in the room.
The collection brings together sleep and surface, comfort and colour, production and experiment. Three colour worlds – red, blue and green – each bring their own rhythm, temperature and mood.
