Colour Tube Vase

RENS X COR UNUM

Unique vases, coloured over the course of time by the interplay

of clay, dye and glaze. Putting soft tones and striking gradients in the forefront, these cylinder vases fit every modern interior.

The Colour Tube Series offers a colourful twist to a timeless design by Zweitse Landsheer, founder of ceramics studio Cor Unum. It's a follow-up of Reddish and Colour Traces, for which this procedure of ceramics colouring was developed in close collaboration with Cor Unum.

At the start and end of each series are two complementary colours; the pieces in-between show the colours gradually mixing and coming together. The subtly tinted vases are produced in series, yet all vases are available individually.

RENS X COR UNUM CERAMICS

The ceramic experts of Cor Unum and RENS have maintained a broad and fruitful collaboration for years. Their cross-pollination started in 2013 with an extensive exploration into the use of red in ceramics, a challenging colour in porcelain and earthenware.

This colour and material research gave birth to the joint collection Reddish, for which RENS devised and developed a unique colouring process, leading to a series of beautiful collaborations, including Colour Traces, Table Top, Colour Tube Series, Unfoiled Vases, and Re-glow tiles.

‘RENS was the first with whom we started a material research. For us, the collaboration was a great way to gain new insights – and a starting point for many new collaborations with other designers.’
