Re-glow Objects

RENS X COR UNUM

Tiles, untiled. RE-GLOW OBJECTS takes ceramic tiles off the wall –
and into space. Each piece is a sculptural object, hand-built and
carefully composed by Studio RENS.

Colours, patterns and formats are selected, placed and constructed with intent – magnetic, modular, precise. At the core: a steel and aluminium frame. The tiles click into place with magnets. Solid, yet ready to reconfigure.

From compact to architectural, these interior pieces bring colour, rhythm and tactility into the room. One-of-a-kind. Designed to live in space, not just on surfaces.

More story. More surface. More colour.

RENS X COR UNUM CERAMICS

The ceramic experts of Cor Unum and RENS have maintained a broad and fruitful collaboration for years. Their cross-pollination started in 2013 with an extensive exploration into the use of red in ceramics, a challenging colour in porcelain and earthenware.

This colour and material research gave birth to the joint collection Reddish, for which RENS devised and developed a unique colouring process, leading to a series of beautiful collaborations, including Colour Traces, Table Top, Colour Tube Series, Unfoiled Vases, and Re-glow tiles.

‘RENS was the first with whom we started a material research. For us, the collaboration was a great way to gain new insights – and a starting point for many new collaborations with other designers.’
